Dear Victoria S.

It has been years since I have paid you a visit. I'm sick of adjusting, fixing, pulling, etc.  I needed help and my old ones were falling a part. I usually wait until I really have to buy one because I hate the hassle of finding the right one.  I don't have the patience for it at all.

In the past, if it looks like it will do the job, then I usually just toss it in my cart and get on with my shopping, already annoyed that I even had to go down that isle.... only to find that it is totally uncomfortable and worthless.

So, Victoria, it was time, again to pay you a visit.

I went to the mall, asked information where I might find you. She tells me and I start walking, really fast towards your neck of the woods. I was on a mission, I knew what I needed, wasn't excited about it, but knew I could not go one more day tugging, fixing and adjusting.

I see the pink the black and the fur. I take a deep breath, and walk in. I'm on a mission. Let's get this job done and let's get it done fast!!

I am greeted by one of your ladies. She starts to say: "hello.. Welcome to Vict..." I quickly cut her off (in the nicest way possible, but I wanted out of there asap). I say: "Hi, I need a new... well, you know... and I want to do this as fast and as painless as possible!"

Then it happened, I could not help it, it just happened... I  proceeded to tell this innocent employee all about how I've nursed three babies, had a hysterectomy and how the combo has done a number on my body...la...la..la (I tend to give out more information than people usually wants to hear. It's genetic. I can't help it, it's in my blood. I come from a long line of talkative women)!

Victoria, your girl got right to work. I was impressed with her skills and dedication to her job. She asks the simple question and I say things like "um, well,..." and "I think".... and with out skipping a beat she says "O.k., ARMS UP!" The next thing I know a measuring tape is getting wrapped around me and numbers and letters are concluded.
I was way off. Hence the tugging, shifting, etc.

We walk here and there, grab this and that, and seconds later, I am in a dressing room. It does not take long to make my choice. I couldn't believe the difference! I joked that I felt like it served two purposes... 1. the obvious and 2. a back brace. I decided I had better take two and rationalized that it was an investment for my future.

So there you have it Victoria. I was in and out in less than twenty minutes and you even gave me a free make up bag! You are too kind! Your people did their job and I feel like a new lady. I thank you!

p.s. the sign on your mirror is missing a few letters... when you take the "s" out of "sexy" it becomes "exy" and frankly, that is not "sexy!"

  1. This is HILAIOUS Sarah! I love that you wrote to Victoria.....it's so true...how many women are so uncomforable buying intimate wear they just grab what they think they fit into at the store that also sells lightbulbs. Something you are going to wear should have a special store...and we should be going there. I guess it's time for my twenty minutes! :)
